Airport upgrades are underway at Charlotte Douglas (CLT), Bucharest (OTP), Vilnius (VNO), and Philadelphia (PHL). Expansions, renovations, and sustainable initiatives are enhancing passenger experience and capacity.
In a briefing with reporters, NTO CEO Jennifer Aument said, “To have the ability to power up to 50% of our operations [with solar energy] goes a long way in sustainability, but also we think about resiliency of this critical infrastructure.”
To achieve the government’s aims of increasing tourism, growing transit traffic, and further developing BUD as a cargo hub, Nagy explained that it plans to open discussions with Vinci over the airport’s future investment needs, which will include construction of a third terminal.
